The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series has earned more than 100 Game of the Year awards from outlets including Metacritic, USA Today, Wired, and more! It was also the recipient of two BAFTA Video Games Awards for Best Story and Best Mobile Game. So yeah, they make some pretty cool episodic games. The gameplay is centered around a player’s decision which can alter the story and the relationships with other characters. A New Frontier brings us a more mature and seasoned Clementine who meets a man named Javier, the new main protagonist of the game.

As the Telltale style goes, decisions you made in ‘Ties That Bind: Part Two’ will have an impact on how your episode 3 plays out. In Part Two, Javier struggles to find a role in his newly reunited family as tensions grow in the Richmond area. Clementine is struggling to make a choice if Javier is safe for the group. The cliffhanger has ended; has the time come to choose between the family you’re born with and the family you’ve made in the apocalypse?

If you have not played the other The Walking Dead Telltale games, fear not, young zombie slayers. The Walking Dead: A New Frontier offers an easy entrance and explanation into the series for people unfamiliar with Clementine and her previous perils, but also flows nicely for players who have followed Clem through Seasons 1 and 2. By importing past save files from various platforms or quick configuring, former Telltale players will easily fall back into the zombie world.

Honestly, these developers know how to punch you straight in the feels with zombies, love, suspense, weapons, and drama. Did I mention zombies? If you are a fan of clean cinematics and intriguing storylines, what are you doing not playing The Walking Dead: A Telltale Series? With over 50 million episodes sold worldwide, they are obviously doing something right. The game is set in the world of Robert Kirkman’s comic book series and offers an emotionally-charged, tailored game experience where a player’s actions and choices affect how their story plays out across the entire series.
