Destiny is a game that means a lot to many different gamers. Now, personally I haven’t played it, but I have seen how people feel about it. Now, for those fans, I have some good news. Bungie is now in collaboration with Activision and have plans to expand the merchandising options for the game through new partners. It looks like it is a big Partners Showcase! What does this mean? Well, let me tell you!
Bungie has partnered with Funko to bring Destiny 2 characters to life via their popular Pop! figures. And I can tell you, I love those figurines just as much as the next person. I had a collection of a few of them myself, and they can be great items to keep, and sell later! So I can imagine how fast those figures will fly off the shelves. This August, players will be able to collect iconic characters from the game’s universe including Cayde-6, Ikora Rey, Commander Zavala and other supporting characters at select retailers.
PC gamers should get excited that Destiny 2 will be available for their enjoyment. Since this is the first time the game is available on PC, a strategic partnership with Razr has resulted in a product suite of gaming peripherals: the Razer Ornata Chroma keyboard, the Razer ManO’ War Tournament Edition headset, the Razer DeathAdder Elite mouse, and the Razer Goliathus Speed mouse mat.
The other partnerships that Bungie has their hands on are as follows: BioWorld (Apparel), KontrolFreek(Performance Thumbsticks for Gaming Controllers), Insight Editions (Art Books, Journals and Poster Books), Mattel – MEGA Construx (Construction Sets),McFarlane Toys (Action Figures and Collectibles), Think Geek (Accessories and Collectibles), ThreeA (Collectible Figures), and RockLove (Jewelry). This list right here has me excited as well. So many opportunities for collectors to go out and buy things relating to this game, especially if it is a favorite. I know that when my favorite games toss out merch through their partners I will fling money. I expect that to happen for Bungie as well. Destiny does have its fans, and is still popular among people that I know.
This merchandising program Bungie has for Destiny 2 will only continue to grow. I wonder just how much they’ll be able to offer players as far as their merchandise goes. If you haven’t already, go stop by their store at http://bungiestore.com!
