Digimon officially made its debut in 1997 and this year marks the 20th anniversary of the franchise. In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Digimon franchise, Bandai Namco has announced a new playable Digimon in Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Hacker’s Memory. The Digimon will be named Zubamon and it is a Legend-Arms Digimon. Zubamon will have the ability to transform its arms into weapons in order to slash foes. Zubamon will also have its own evolutionary chain and will digivolve into the mega level Digimon Durandamon.
Also announced by Bandai Namco is a new feature introduced in Hacker’s Memory titled Domination Battle. In Domination Battle, players will be able to take control of their team members and pit them in strategy-based battles against enemy hackers.
Digimon Cyber Sleuth: Hacker’s Memory will release worldwide on Sony Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita sometime in 2018, with a Japanese release happening later this year.
