Minecraft Story Mode Season 2 announced by Telltale and Mojang

Telltale Games and Mojang have announced that the follow up to Minecraft Story Mode, simply titled Season 2, is currently in development.

Minecraft Story Mode: Season 2 will continue to tell the story of Jesse, and will occur across the five episode format typically attributed to games in the Telltale franchise. This series based on the hit game Minecraft is being developed in collaboration with Mojang, the series creator, as well as members of the Minecraft community. In usual Telltale format, the choices that players have made in the previous season will carry over and affect Jesse in Season 2. However, the game will still remain accessible to new players. This season will also include “Crowd Play”. This is a unique multiplayer feature which allows others to engage with the player online and help them decide the story direction. This feature can be used from any mobile device with an internet connection.

Voice work from actors Patton Oswalt, Catherine Taber, Ashley Johnson and Scott Porter will be featured. There will also be cameos from online personalities such as Stampy Cat and Stacyplays. Episode 1: Hero in Residence will be available for download on July 11, 2017 and will be accessible to Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, iOS and Android.
