Disney revenues fall 4%

This week, Disney announced that, for its fiscal year ending October 3, 2009, company revenues were down by 4%.  The entertainment mogul’s Interactive Media area, which is responsible for Disney Online and Disney Interactive Studios game development, were down by 1% for the same period. The company’s game offerings this year, which included High School Musical 3 and Sing It, were not as strong as last year’s popular titles like Turok and Pure. Disney’s bright spot this year, however, was found in lower marketing outlays and strong subscription volume to the company’s Club Penguin service.
