Dead Space devs heading up Sledgehammer Games

Activision has made the previously reported departure of Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey from EA’s Dead Space and Dante’s Inferno developer Visceral Games as official as it can be by announcing that the men will be heading up Activision’s new wholly-owned, California-based Sledgehammer Games.

Schofield and Condrey have taken up positions as the studio’s Vice President and General Manager, and Vice President and COO, respectively, as it’s working on an unannounced game and actively recruits “top industry talent to join their primary development team.”

In an earlier statement, Activision said Sledgehammer will be working on “a new game based on one of Activision’s existing franchises.”
