The video above was sent to us by a tipster (Thanks GainCain!) to show what many people’s experience has been so far with Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines on PSP. It seems the European PSN version was unable to get past the first load screen, a problem was noticed quickly by Sony who took the game down from the store and uploaded a fixed version later. Problem solved, unless you happen to be one of the lucky few who downloaded it when it first hit the store, for you are now the proud owner of a $30 loading screen.
Early purchasers do not have free means to access the updated version of the game, and no official word has yet come from Sony. The poster of the video above says he has been in contact with Ubisoft, who said “Sony should be contacting everyone who bought the game to provide them with a working version. If you haven’t heard from them by Monday, please contact them”. It’s Monday, and as of this writing, Sony has yet to fix the problem.
Yet another reason why I will always prefer a physical copy whenever possible.
