Indie studio Machinegames scooped up by ZeniMax

Reports have it that ZeniMax has purchased yet another studio; Machinegames, the studio founded by Starbreeze co-founder Magnus Hogdahl in 2009, is the latest to join the ever-growing list of studios included in the ZeniMax fold.

ZeniMax houses an increasing number of studios and talents including Bethesda, id Software, Arkane Studios and more recently, Shinji Mikami’s Tango Gameworks (think Resident Evil), and according to Swedish business records, indie studio Machineworks has had its named changed to ZeniMax Sweden AB, which would certainly make it a part of ZeniMax.

The bad news: Machinegames has yet to announce a new game. The good news: when they do, it’ll be “AAA titles for next-gen platforms.”
