Bungie’s next headed to PC

Bungie’s new, Activision-backed property looks to be gracing a system other than consoles; the ten-year alliance the two entered into earlier this year will also produce a title for PC, a slide shown during Activision’s presentation at the BMO Capital Markets 18th Annual Digital Entertainment Conference yesterday revealed.

The Halo developer’s new property was marked as a “Con/PC/Online” game, and was noted to be one of Activision Blizzard’s seven pillar franchises for long-term growth, right next to Call of Duty, Guitar Hero, World of Warcraft, StarCraft, Diablo, and Blizzard’s yet-to-be-named next MMO; no ambition lost there then.

The developer has said it’s considering going mobile as well, along with any other platforms and devices “where it makes sense.”

Bungie’s currently at the engine-building phase with the new property; ‘technically still at the end of a pre-production mode,’ as community man Brian Jarrard said in September.
