Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood DLC won’t be terrible

The downloadable content for Assassin’s Creed II wasn’t all that. The core game itself was great, but the DLC was filler, constituting nothing more than a few axed scenes and set pieces that didn’t make it into the main game in time.

Understandably, the AC faithful felt cheated when discovering they had spent their hard-earned points on such shoddy content. Fret not, says Ubisoft producer Vincent Pontbriand, for the DLC for Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood will be of a quality and polish we’ve come to expect from the franchise. Specifically, Pontbriand explained the goal of Brotherhood’s DLC: “We want to give more of the game so we have plans for post-launch DLC. It’s a mix between maintaining shelf life.” He also stated that extending the game’s shelf-life via DLC will be easier due to the prominent multiplayer aspects of the game.
