Activision CEO is listening to you

Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick recently spoke about the importance of customer feedback at San Francisco’s Web 2.0 Summit.  Specifically, Kotick stated that listening to customers is “matters more now than ever before,” citing the beta of  Cataclysm, an expansion to popular MMO World of Warcraft, and how gamers’ feedback played an important role in developing the add-on.

Said Kotick, “if you take the time and actually listen to what your customers have to say, you are going to create much better experiences.” He also stated that the community of videogame players at large lent itself to productive feedback, “because you have incredibly passionate and vocal consumers, and they are really thoughtful and articulate about what they would like to see in a game, how you can enhance the experience.” So give yourselves a pat on the back, beta testers – you’re doing your part to make the games of tomorrow that much better.
