Despite the fact that this is still a rumor, we’re inclined to believe otherwise because once again, the fast-paced kicking bad-ass of Bayonetta is looking to make a second appearance in the future. If Twitter is anything to go by, that is.
“You’ll see soon,” was the answer provided by Platinum Games’ Hideki Kamiya when asked if Bayonetta 2 would make an appearance at next year’s Tokyo Game Show. Interestingly enough, the same answer was given when asked if the same heel-shooting protagonist would star in the sequel.
Bayonetta 2 has been hinted at once and twice by people at Platinum Games, and given the critical acclaim of the first game and popular demand for a second one, be it a spin-off or not, we’d be surprised if it wouldn’t materialize in the not too distant future.
