After kicking off the APB Reloaded open beta last week, GamersFirst has plenty to be happy about; the MMO has hit a peak concurrent players (PCCU) figure of “just under 24,000,” the developer has revealed, as the average gamer spends “well over 3 hours” in the game per session.
The beta is said to be somewhat more popular in Europe than it is in the US (“WELL over 12,000 PCCU in Europe”), and the daily totals add up to over four times the 24k mark.
The developer also gave a few comparisons to the more established MMOs out there; after four years, EVE Online reached 35,000 peak concurrent players in 2007, recent success World of Tanks hit 25,000 PCCU after a year of beta time, and Combat Arms reached 12,000 PCCU during their 10-month beta in Europe a few years back.
APB Reloaded‘s PCCU of 24,000 was reached after 6 days of open beta.
The game is expected to launch in the coming months.
