Torchlight II priced, new class revealed

Torchlight II, the sequel to the vastly popular dungeon-crawling action RPG of 2009, has been finally priced by developer Runic Games and wouldn’t you know it, it’s going for $20, just like the original.

“Everyone who wants to play Torchlight II will be able to comfortably afford to do so, and they’ll be able to play with their friend online or via a LAN, or play single player offline, all with no further purchase,” said Runic Games CEO Max Schaefer.

In addition to the price tag, Runic also revealed a new — fourth and final — class that will be joining the Berserker, Outlander and Engineer; Embermage, “highly-trained spellcasters renowned for their skill, dedication, and arcane power” as described by the official game site, which makes it all the more fun to play this game in its featured co-op mode.

Torchlight II is looking to get released, digitally, this year on PC, maybe Mac (considering the original game is on there) and eventually on Xbox Live.
