Another quick piece of information on Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us has popped up.
An USA Today piece on the game reveals that the developer is aiming for the title to be a late 2012/early 2013 release. Not that big of a wait ahead, then.
In the piece, Naughty Dog co-founder Christopher Balestra also teases the project’s grand ambitions: “We’re trying to move the medium of video games into an area elevated in the same manner of respect of film. We want to redefine what our medium is even called. ‘Video game’ is not an accurate name anymore. It is not necessarily a game with rules and a winner and a loser. It’s an experience.”
The game was announced at the VGAs a few days ago. Catch the debut trailer here.
