In Russia, the ball flops YOU! Euroleague teams to be included in NBA 2K14

Not too long ago, NBA commissioner David Stern entertained the idea of expanding the league in order to include European teams. Well, Mr. Stern may well be on his way out the door of the NBA head office, but 2K Games has decided to make his vision a reality, as they have announced the inclusion of Euroleague teams as part of the roster in their newest update of their annual franchise, NBA 2K14, to be released on October 1st in North America and October 4th for the rest of the world for the PS3 and Xbox 360 (with versions for the next gen consoles PS4 and Xbox One to be launched later on).

Due to a business agreement between 2K Games and the Turkish Airlines Euroleague, 14 European teams will now be included in the game’s roster to do battle against the likes of the Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers. The teams are the following:

– Alba Berlin
– FC Barcelona
– Real Madrid
– CSKA Moscow
– EA 7 Emporio Armani Milano
– Montepaschi Siena
– Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul
– Anadolu Efes Istanbul
– Olympiacos Piraeus
– Panathinaikos Athens
– Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv
– Zalgiris Kaunas
– Unicaja Malaga
– Laboral Kutxa Vitoria

If this sounds like the roster for a new soccer game, don’t be surprised, as several famous European soccer teams also branch out to other sports. It’s a move that will no doubt make this game a lot more marketable across the Atlantic.

Don’t forget that the King James Bonus Pack will be available on launch day for no extra cost.
