Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster gets a launch event AND an art exhibit in Los Angeles

It has been announced today that the Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster is getting a special launch event plus an art exhibit in Los Angeles. Lasting from Saturday, March 15th through Wednesday, March 26th, the event will take place at the Gallery Nucleus, where visitors will go on a VISUAL JOURNEY through the artwork from the two titles (it will be just like being in Spira with their Blitzball and their lion-like Ronsos and their “dodge lightning 200 times in order to get a super special ultimate weapon that resets if you get hit once and you break the television” minigame). Artwork will be on sale at the event, and proceeds from the sale will go towards victims of Typhoon Haiyan, which is wonderful!

The opening night of the event is gonna be sweet, as Producer Yoshinori Kitase and Art Director Yusuke Naora will be on site to sign the first 200 copies of the game, so make sure you get there early. Limited supplies of the Vita version of Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster, as well as the PS3 Collector’s and Limited Edition versions of the title, will be available to buy at the LA event; which is 3 days before it comes out officially, so you can totally purchase them without feeling like a criminal.

Door prizes will be given out to the first 300 attendees, and gamers can play the remasters and the original versions of Final Fantasy X/X-2 (retro!) and also make use of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 themed photo booths (creepy).

More information about the Gallery Nucleus event can be found here. Everything regarding the Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster can be found here. Anyone going to LA to attend this? If so, do you think you will be able to take pictures with the fictional characters of FFX/X-2 at the booth?
