Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, Blizzard Entertainment’s card game, is now available on Android tablets worldwide. Initially the roll-out began with Australia, Canada and New Zealand, but by now the game should be globally available in Google’s Play Store. This follows Blizzard’s release of the Goblins vs. Gnomes 120-card expansion pack which was released on the 8th/9th of December, which is also entirely available through the mobile version of the game. Unfortunately gamers who want to play the game on their mobile phones will have to wait a little longer; Blizzard has announced that more news will be coming about the mobile phone versions in early 2015.
Playing Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft on your tablet will also give you a free classic (not Goblins vs. Gnomes) card pack after completing one game in any game mode on your tablet. Do beware! The minimum system requirements seem quite minimalistic and can be found here, but some reports indicate that a fair amount of people are currently having trouble with running Hearthstone on their tablet. It can only be hoped that Blizzard will soon be able to address these issues. Nonetheless, Hearthstone‘s Android release is a big step towards making it as easily accessible as it should be, and before long even you could be playing it sitting comfortably on your couch at home.
