Sad news today from the world of PlayStation: Naughty Dog has announced that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will be delayed to spring 2016.
Game directors Neil Druckmann and Bruce Stralry have taken to the PlayStation blog to explain the delay: “It’s become clear to us that this game is much more ambitious than we originally envisioned……So we’ve made the difficult choice of pushing the game’s release date. Giving us a few extra months will make certain that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End not only meets the team’s high standards but the high standards that gamers have come to expect from a Naughty Dog title.”
Initially slated for release later this year, this now leaves a big gap in the fall lineup for PS4. Let’s hope Sony has a few tricks up its sleeve at E3 to help elevate this big blow.
