QUICK! Only a few days left to take back Philadelphia in Homefront: The Revolution’s Interactive Competition

If you’ve been holding out for Homefront: The Revolution this year, your patience has been greatly rewarded. Eyestorm Productions, along with Square Enix and Deep Silver, have created a digital interactive contest experience to indulge hungry players until the game’s release this month. Running until May 17th, the ‘Google maps’-like experience sees you take control of an overhead spread of Philadelphia, as you organise the revolution in conquering the enslaving forces that have taken over the city. From your overhead controls, explore the map and discover intel that will help you take down the enemy in a series of text-based scenarios and mini-games. Completing missions will help you infiltrate secure enemy lines and earn you award badges.

These award badges are important. As you plot your way through the map, you’re also earning yourself bids for real world prizes. They’ve gone all out with the rewards, with over $16,000 worth of goodies to give away. 8 raffles will be held after the competition closing date, with players getting a shot of winning these real world prizes. In a first of its kind experience, players have to win in-game achievements to have their name in the pot. However, what prizes you can win relates to the amount of work it would take to achieve raffle-status. Keep working at the online contest to unlock your chances to not only a bunch of Loot Crate Gaming boxes, but to win the coveted high-end Falcon Northwest gaming PC by unlocking new zones.

The prize list looks great, with peripherals from Razer and Hyperkin, gaming headsets from ASTRO, and portable solar products from Goal Zero. There are even bean bags to win from Sumo Lounge, camera drones from Ehang, and of course special editions of Homefront: The Revolution with the customized RC car or standard versions as well. The necessity for in-game work for this ‘raffle-status’ means the big winners will be the ones wholly dedicated to the job at hand – it’s random, but nicely random.

Competition closes May 17th, and participants must be legal residents of US and Canada over the age of 18. Head over to Homefront Map (www.homefrontmap.com) to get started. Those interested can also preorder the game through retail outlets like Gamestop, which will also register you for the competition. In-store preorders score you exclusive access to an underground subway zone with additional videos and mini games via inputting the preorder code provided.
