Ubisoft has just announced a collaborative effort with both Amazon and Twitch to create an original, 30-minute live action video. This video will be set in the world of Ubisoft’s upcoming title Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands. Ghost Recon: War Within the Cartel will focus on the Santa Blanca Cartel. They are a ruthless group who has managed to turn Bolivia into a narco-state. Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon: War Within the Cartel will transport the viewer into the inner workings of the Santa Blanca Cartel. The senior leader of the organization seeks out a traitor after an attack on their compound. The events of Ghost Recon: War Within the Cartel will culminate into the beginning of Ghost Recon Wildlands.
Ghost Recon: War Within the Cartel is being produced by Los Angeles based studio Legion of Creatives. It will also feature Tip “T.I” Harris as Marcus, who is a member of the Santa Blanca Cartel. War Within the Cartel will be directed by Avi Youbian (The Walking Dead, Tainted Love) with a script from Evan Greene, Noam Dromi and Ryan Landels. War Within the Cartel is scheduled to premiere February 16, 2017. It will be streamed via Ubisoft’s Twitch Channel and will immediately be available for download on Amazon Prime following the premiere.
