Ghost Recon Wildlands is holding a closed beta this February

Grab some buddies and get ready to get tactical, because the latest entry in the long standing Tom Clancy franchise, Ghost Recon Wildlands, is gearing up to host a closed beta experience this coming February. The beta event will take place February 3rd-6th with pre-loading available on February 1st. Ubisoft is accepting requests to join the beta at the Ghost Recon website here. If you are one of the lucky few selected you will receive access keys for yourself and three friends on your current-gen system of choice.

In the beta players will explore the Itacua map in a near-future Bolivia where they will work together steadily dismantling the Santa Blanca drug cartel by tactically taking down key members and operations. Players will be given full reign of the many weapons, vehicles, and equipment that will be featured in the full release of the game in order to have the optimal freedom of choice in how they want to take on an objective. Of course, the beta will have open co-op ability throughout every objective as well.

Ubisoft has stated that Itacua is just a taste of what’s to come in the biggest action-adventure open world ever created by the company. This is a huge statement for the Ghost Recon franchise considering Ubisoft is a company that puts out absolutely massive maps in games like Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and Watch Dogs 2. With other Tom Clancy labels, Rainbow 6 Siege and The Division, receiving high praise and continued support, it is high time Ghost Recon made its glorious comeback in the current generation.
