Devolver’s Indie Picnic event is set for E3

Our lovely friends over at Devolver Digital have been rather busy preparing for their showing at E3 this year and what better way to celebrate that than with a picnic?

Now we aren’t talking about bees, slightly stale sandwiches and luke warm tea. What you can expect is an all new Devolver Public Access Area which will be free to any badge holder type. If you’re lucky enough to be at the event you’ll be able to find the Indie Picnic in the front parking lot directly across the street from the Los Angeles Convention Centre’s South Hall. It’s going to be running every day from 11am until  7pm from the 13th to 15th of  June.

Indie Picnic is to include The Devolver Digital Public Access Area offering a hand selected line-up of awesome indie game demos from Devolver Digital and its extended family Indie MEGABOOTH, X-Split and Gambitious. The hardware for the event will be sponsored by NVIDIA, Logitech and Alienware.

Let’s remember that this is still a picnic and what would a picnic be without great music, food and drink, and carnival games? You’ll get all of this in spades with the games featuring some great prizes provided by Special Reserve Games. On top of all of these awesome reasons to show up and take a look, there will also be an indie arcade by Polycade. If this isn’t enough for you, Devolver’s usual by-appointment-only game demo oasis will still be available for you in the convention centre’s back lot.

This is the week the entire industry and fans everywhere celebrate video games as entertainment and art with numerous events now happening across Los Angeles,” said Mike Wilson, co-founder of Devolver Digital. “Indie Picnic is our way of giving back to the fans and celebrating a mutual love for games and art.”

The Devolver Digital Public Access Area of Indie Picnic will be livestreamed for the duration of the event in partnership with X-Split. This means that the rest of us who can’t be there and just want to chill out and watch the antics during the week of E3 from home will be able to join in on the fun. If you happen to want to tune in and get involved, you’ll be able to via Devolver’s Publc Access at and X-Split at
