Assassin’s Creed III in October; Revelations’ sales at 7 million

Speaking on its earnings call with investors today, Assassin’s Creed III appeares to have been given the release date of October 30. No formal announcement has arrived yet, though it shouldn’t be too far behind.

“We will push the title a lot because it’s a fantastic product that the team has been working for three years,” CEO Yves Guillemot said. “What we have seen is just fabulous.”

The publisher’s Q3 FY 2011-12 earnings report today also reveals that last year’s entry, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, has sold-in — that’s the sold-to-retailers figure then — over 7 million copies since its release last November, “slightly exceeding” forecasts. It was also “the industry 7th best seller in calendar 2011.”
