Earlier in the month several mainstream retailers listed Battlefield: Bad Company 2‘s Ultimate Edition for an August 31 release, but to date neither publisher Electronic Arts nor Swedish developer DICE has said a word about it.
As you know, today is August 31, and according to the launch trailer (above), the new edition is out…right now.
The trailer describes everything we already knew, but here’s a recap. The Ultimate Edition will come bundled with the game (of course), Battlefield 1943, Onslaught Mode, and six weapon unlocks. The trailer didn’t provide a price, but if retailers are correct, the bundle will set you back $59.99. It’s available for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but not PC.
