Battlefield 1943 is $15 on XBL, PSN

EA and DICE have announced that their Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network iteration of the Battlefield series, Battlefield 1943, will cost $15 or 1200 MS Points.

The multiplayer game brings BF 1942-inspired maps that are now powered by BF: Bad Company‘s Frostbite engine, meaning destruction and win go hand in hand.

“Using the same Frostbite engine that we developed for Battlefield: Bad Company, we are able to take players back to WWII and return to the roots of the Battlefield franchise, but with a new twist – destruction,” said Gordon Van Dyke, Producer on Battlefield 1943. “We want to offer gamers the most accessible online shooter experience and the best value found in any premium download title with Battlefield 1943.”

The game will land on the consoles in June, followed by the PC version in September.
