Battlefield 3 minimum and recommended specs revealed

This October’s greatly hyped Battlefield 3 is coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but it’s going to be strongest on a capable PC rig.

Now, according to a GameStop product listing, we know the minimum and recommended specs for Battlefield 3.  Though, it is important to remember that nor EA or DICE have yet to officially announce the specs themselves.

Battlefield 3 is due out October 25 in North America.

Minimum:
Hard Drive Space: 15 GB for disc version or 10 GB for digital version
Operating System: Windows Vista or Windows 7
Processor: Core 2 Duo @ 2.0GHz
RAM: 2GB
Video Card: DirectX 10 or 11 compatible Nvidia or AMD ATI card

Recommended:
Hard Drive Space: 15 GB for disc version or 10 GB for digital version
Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit
Processor: Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU
RAM: 4GB
Video Card: DirectX 11 Nvidia or AMD ATI card, GeForce GTX 460, Radeon Radeon HD 6850
