As jaw-droppingly good as Battlfield 3 looks, it’s clear that DICE have been showing us high-end PC footage of the game so far. We fear that when it comes to a PS3/360 reveal, the graphics will take a noticeable drop in quality, which would be a real shame for console players.
DICE Art Director Gustav Tilleby is here in an attempt to put those worries to rest though. “The positive thing is that the new rendering technique allows us to do more complex calculations at no extra cost,” he told NowGamer. “That’s the magic. The game will look very good, even on 360.”
Notice he doesn’t quite say “as good as PC”, but that’s to be expected. Battlefield 3 launches later in the year.
