For OG gamers, it really doesnโt seem that long ago that portable gaming was a novel ideaโand of course, you couldnโt hope to play triple A titles on a portable system. Well, those days are long past, and a gaming laptop can handle whatever you throw at it.
Need even more portability? Todayโs best gaming tablets can also give you a great gaming experience, and for less out of pocket than you might expect. While there are, of course, different feature sets and prices that go with them, breaking the bank to get a great gaming experience isnโt necessary. Tablets are for a lot more than watching movies and messaging these days!
Hereโs our take on the best gaming tablets available for Windows, iOS, and Android platforms.
Our Picks for the Best Gaming Tablet
Best Budget Android Gaming Tablet: Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e (128GB)
- Ultra light for on the go; Lighter than a pound, our slimmest tablet won't add weight to your load; Stream, browse and more on eye catching metal design
- Crisp; Clear; Captivating; Get drawn in to the 10; 5 inches Super AMOLED display with an immersive 16: 10 ratio widescreen; Shows and movies come to life in true to life color and crisp, clear details
- Smartly connected; Control all your connected devices from your tablet; Adjust lights, control your TV, lock doors and even adjust the thermostat; Plus, get the details If you get a security camera alert
- Charge Fast and go; Get up to 15 hours of video on a full charge and power up quickly with fast charging
- Get 4 months of ad free YouTube and YouTube music with your Samsung Galaxy device
This Galaxy tablet is one of Samsungโs best budget choices, and ideal for gaming on the go. The 10.5-inch screen gives you enough real estate to play action and battle royale games comfortablyโbut is portable enough to take notes and wonโt be a drag to carry between classes.
As always, Samsung wows with its Super AMOLED screen, easily the equal to Appleโs Retina displayโif not better in some contexts. If you make this your main tablet, youโll love how easy it is to integrate with your smart home devices.
This may not be the cheapest Android tablet for gaming, but itโs reasonably priced and has enough “oomph” to be your daily driver and still perform well when gaming.
Key Features
- Under a poundโsuper slim and lightweight
- Super AMOLED display is 16:10, perfect for watching shows and films too
- Easily integrates with smart devices
- Fast charging and exceptional battery life are a great combination for gamers
- Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/GPS connectivity
- Bonus: 4 months of YouTube Music and ad-free YouTube with purchase
The sleek metal design keeps this gaming tablet looking modern while giving it a sturdy edge over the competition.
Pros
- High-end look and feel, no plastic
- One of the best screens in the business-performs well even in direct sunlight – one of the best screens for gaming on the go
- Exceptional speakers with good bass; fantastic for immersive gaming
Cons
- Thin profile is great, but it puts this tablet at risk of bending unless you invest in a case
- No headphone jack? This makes sense for flagship phones, but this is a tablet. Wired sound is objectively better.
- This might not matter unless youโre a Samsung fan, but no S-Pen support is a really weird choice for them to make. Very easy to integrate and a huge value add for people who already have one.
Best Windows Tablet for Gaming: Lenovo Flex 14 2-in-1 Convertible Laptop, 14 Inch FHD, Touchscreen
- Up to 8 hours of battery life with quick recharge technology to power your laptop computer up to 80%
- Comprehensive protection with Windows 10 helps protect against viruses, malware, and ransomware
- Convenient TrueBlock privacy shutter allows you to physically close your webcam when you're not using it
- The included Active Pen lets you draw or take notes directly on the screen, anywhere you go
- With a full HD touch display and the AMD Ryzen processor, you can work, stream, game, and edit videos
Itโs taken Microsoft a while to claw its way back into the discussion of best gaming tablets, but theyโre here. Of course, the Surface is a hit for high-powered users, but you can get your Windows fix without going full-Microsoft.
And if you prefer your gaming with a keyboard, this is definitely a great pick as your gaming tablet. Trying to talk Mom and Dad into footing the bill for a new gaming tablet this semester? Pitch the Flex as the ultimate 2 in 1, thanks to near full laptop functionality.
Key Features
- Incredible battery life; up to 8 hours, and quick to recharge, as well
- Windows 10โnot only one of the best tablet OS available but one of the safest, too, with comprehensive protection
- Includes the Active Pen, a stylus designed specifically with the Flex in mind
- The AMD Ryzen processor is more than capable of meeting your gaming needs
- Variety of inputs, including USB 3.1, USB-C, audio jack, and HDMI
- Fingerprint reader
- 14-inch display; one of the largest conveniently portable options out there
Laptop or tablet? Why choose when the Flex can do both, and so well, too! There simply isnโt a more feature-rich option when it comes to Windows-based gaming tablets.
Pros
- Great build quality; feels like a much more expensive machine
- The Ryzen processor performs exceptionally well, giving Intel a serious run for its money
- Great on graphics, too! Expect to run at least older AAA games on high quality, and heavier new AAA games should run great with graphics turned down a bit. Overwatch and Fortnite? You can go full throttle.
- The SSD is a nice plus and boots practically instantly
- If youโre dead set on a keyboard/tablet 2 in 1 but donโt have the budget for a Surface, this is likely the best choice out there
Cons
- Itโs a little starved for RAM if you plan to multitask. That said, you can upgrade by replacing one of the 4 GB sticks with a 16 GB. That may be a hassle youโre not interested in, though.
- Seems to have shipped early on with a bug resulting in not detecting the Wi-Fi adapter, causing Wi-Fi to drop frequently on some units; Lenovo is aware of the problem and working on a solution, but be warned that some units with this issue might still be around
- The fan is surprisingly noisy
Best Midrange Apple Tablet: Apple iPad (10.2-Inch, Wi-Fi, 128GB) Space Gray
- 10.2-inch Retina display
- A10 Fusion chip
- Touch ID fingerprint sensor
- 8MP back camera, 1.2MP FaceTime HD front camera
- Stereo speakers
Apple has long been one of the heavy hitters in the tablet market, and that hasnโt changed despite the influx of higher-end Android and Windows options out there. That being said, if gaming is your primary reason for buying a tablet, you probably wonโt go with an iPad. However, if you depend on your tablet to integrate with the rest of the Apple ecosystem, this is a good mid-range choice. The 10.2-inch Retina display is one of the industryโs best, and big enough to game comfortably. You can also use this
tablet with a full-sized keyboard, which is a plus for those of you that arenโt into touchscreen gaming.
Key Features
- 10.2-inch Retina display screen
- 10 hours of battery life
- Touch ID fingerprint reader
- Stereo speakers
- Front and back camera (2MP and 8MP, respectively)
Itโs taken a little while for iPads to get up to snuff on (non-iTunes) gaming, but Appleโs finally gotten there. So if you love the look and feel of the Apple experience, and want to game on your tablet, youโve found a great choice.
Pros
- Fully compatible with the Apple ecosystem; syncs with your iPhone, Mac, Apple TV flawlessly
- Beautiful, high quality build; one of the best tablets in this price range for the look and feel
- iOS runs smoothly, without a hitch
Cons
- Charging problems seem to be common with this model; before you get it completely set up and put a lot of work into it, make sure that itโs charging correctly since the usual solution is to replace the whole unit
- Probably isnโt going to make you happy if you arenโt into iOS and Apple as a brand; specs are little light for what youโd expect at this price point in an Android tablet
- Boot is a bit on the slow side, especially for a tablet
Best Mini Apple Tablet: Apple iPad Mini (Wi-Fi, 256GB) Silver
- 7.9-inch Retina Display with True Tone and wide Color
- A12 Bionic chip
- Touch ID fingerprint sensor
- 8MP back camera, 7MP FaceTime HD front camera
- Stereo speakers
If youโre an Apple disciple but you want a purse-sized tablet, the iPad mini is definitely right up your alley. Up to ten hours of battery life and a 7.9-inch Retina display puts this little guy ahead of the class. Great for many different uses as well; the 7mp FaceTime front camera is a nice bonus if you love FaceTiming (or selfies!). The Mini is now compatible with the Apple Pen, too, which is a great plus! There’s a reason PCMag raved about this one in 2019.
Key Features
- 10 hours of battery life
- Front camera (7MP) and back camera (8MP)
- A12 Bionic chip
- TouchID fingerprint reader
- 7.9-inch Retina display
- Stereo speakers
Appleโs motto for this tablet was โmini just got mightier,โ and it looks like theyโre putting their minis where their mouth is. This is a higher price point than you might expect for a 7.9-inch screen, but youโre paying for Apple hardware and the iOS experience, as always with Apple products.
Pros
- The A12 CPU is one of the best Apple has to offer for gaming, keeping frame rates up and graphics popping
- Smooth operationโApple may not offer the highest specs, but you get more out of them since the OS and the hardware are in perfect harmony. โIt just works.โ
- Apple pencil support means this mini is ready to be your full-time, main tablet
Cons
- If youโre upgrading from the previous mini, take a hard look at the specs and performance ratings, because youโre not going to see a big leap. This tablet is great in a vacuum, but if youโve already got the previous generation, you may want to wait a year or so for the next iteration.
- Hard to say whether this is a tablet or a developer issue, but many iTunes apps are just plain wonky on this tablet in particular; they arenโt optimized for the mini at all
- The 10-hour battery life might apply to surfing the web; it definitely does not apply to gaming. Expect to get 3-4 hours max.
Best Ultra-Portable Windows Tablet: New Microsoft Surface Go (Intel Pentium Gold, 8GB RAM, 128GB)
- High res 10 inch PixelSense: Display designed to be viewed, touched, and written on
- Lightest surface yet, starting at 1.15 pounds. Touch: 10 point multi touch
- All day battery life, with upto 9 hours of unplugged power. Ambient light sensor
- Runs Windows 10 Home in S Mode, streamlined for security and superior performance
- Includes multi tasking USB C, fast charging surface connect, and headphone jack. Use it in Laptop, Tablet or Studio Mode
At around 1.15 lbs and featuring Windows 10 Home optimized for the hardware, the Surface Go is the most portable Surface yet. Better yet, Microsoft has remained true to the brand, packing this mini-tablet with all-day battery life and a 10-point touchscreen that rivals its full-sized counterpart. Laptop, Tablet, and Studio mode tailor your experience to what youโre doing. And of course, youโll have a blast gaming on it, with so many triple-A games being optimized for Windows.
Key Features
- 10-inch display
- PixelSense display great for viewing, touchscreen performance, and stylus
- Only 1.15 lbs
- 10-point multi-touch touchscreen
- 9 hours of unplugged power
- Ambient light sensor to adjust screen brightness
- USB-C (multitasking)
- Headphone jack
- Fast charge
- Streamlined Windows Home 10 (S mode)
- Exceptional security
- Optional: Full keyboard experience with ultra-light and convenient Type Cover
- Front-facing speakers
If youโve been drooling over the Microsoft Surface since it first launched but couldnโt justify the standard size, the Surface Go is going to be a temptation thatโs tough to resist, especially when you consider the exceptional specs to price point ratio.
Pros
- You donโt have to keep it in S mode OS if you donโt want to be tied exclusively to the Microsoft store; the Go runs standard Windows 10 Home just fine and the switch takes seconds
- The fully adjustable kickstand is a small detail but a surprisingly big quality of life upgrade
- The optional keyboard is a must-have for gamers, with a generously sized touchpad and pleasantly โclickyโ keys for touch-typing or gaming
- Itโs small enough that it runs the free version of Office Mobile without a hitch if you donโt want to spring for Office 365
Cons
- The S mode Windows 10 is not great for gamers; itโs pretty easy to make the switch, but the switch is REQUIRED for a lot of downloads and access to Steam
- If Microsoft updates drive you crazy, expect to be driven crazyโฆ for some reason, the Surface seems to get updated an inordinate amount
- The onscreen keyboard is all but useless for most tasks; while the Type Cover is โoptional,โ itโs really not worth buying without it
Best Lightweight Apple Tablet: Apple iPad Air (10.5-inch, Wi-Fi, 64GB) – Space Gray
- 10.5-inch Retina display with True Tone and wide color
- A12 Bionic chip
- Touch ID fingerprint sensor and Apple Pay
- 8MP back camera, 7MP FaceTime HD front camera
- Stereo speakers
This is basically the iPad Mini gussied up with lighter, sleeker hardware. The A12 Bionic chip gives it exceptional performance on iOS compatible games, and it boasts 10 hours of battery life. Naturally, the 10.5-inch screen is a Retina display. And of course, itโs Appleโs lightest, most futuristic tablet. Whatโs new with this yearโs model?
Well, if you wanted an iPad Air that is just as powerful as some of the pro tablets out there, rejoiceโthis iPad Air supports both Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil. If youโre into iOS-compatible gaming, you canโt do better at this size.
Key Features
- 7MP FaceTime HD front camera
- 8MP back camera
- Touch ID fingerprint reader
- Apple Pay
- A12 Bionic chip
- Stereo speakers
- 10 hours of battery life
- 10.5-inch Retina display+ True Tone and Wide Color
- Group FaceTime featuring AR, screen sharing, and more
- Lightning connector
Apple has really packed this mini with a lot of premium features considering the price; if you want to stay in the Apple ecosystem, itโs hard to find a better choice!
Pros
- The A12 chip future proofs this iPad for a few yearsโitโs a decent investment if you donโt want to flagship shop every year
- Ultra-fast, even faster than you might expect, given the specs. Appleโs harmonious software/hardware compatibility really shines when gaming
- The hardware is just plain beautiful; itโs as light as it looks, but feels substantial, not cheap
Cons
- While it does stand up to the battery life claim with light use, youโre going to find thatโs really not the case with gaming. If youโre pushing high FPS and top-level graphics, youโre going to drain the battery a lot faster
- The narrow bezels are aesthetically appealing but surprisingly annoying since itโs difficult not to touch the screen when you donโt want to accidentally
- As always, itโs really important to buy the โoptionalโ Apple Careโbecause if you donโt Apple isnโt helpful at all if something goes wrong
Best Low Budget Samsung Galaxy Tablet: Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 Inch (T510) 32 GB WiFi Tablet Silver (2019)
- Minimal bezel; Maximum view; Watch, stream and browse on a 10.1 inch Full HD corner to corner Display; The lightweight premium metal design goes anywhere you go
- Big sound for big entertainment. The perfect complement to a wide, immersive picture, Dolby Atmos Surround sound fills the room with cinematic clarity.
- Binge worthy Battery; Browse, watch Or shop for up to ten hours on a full charge
- Room for everything; Never delete songs, photos or videos, thanks to ample built in memory; Plus expand your storage up to 512GB anytime With a Micro SD card
- Operating System Android 9.0 Pie, Connectivity Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac 2.4G-plus-5GHz, VHT80, USB 2.0 and Bluetooth v5.0 (LE up to 2 Mbps)
Samsung scored with the best budget Android gaming tablet, but if your budget is even lower but you really want to stick with a Galaxy device, this stripped-down cheap tablet is for you. The big loss here is that its 32GB, and youโre going to feel that. That said, the Dolby Atmos surround sound, the gorgeous Samsung display, and the micro SD slot makes this a very versatile and enjoyable tablet for the money.
Key Features
- 10.1 inch
- Micro SD slot
- 10 hours of battery life
- Android 9.0 Pie OS
- Bluetooth
- WiFi
- USB
- 1.03 lbs
It doesnโt have everything the S5e has, but it gets you close for practically half the price, making it one of the cheapest tablets available that still allow for gaming.
Most importantly, the processor is competitive, and thatโs going to be a big deciding factor for gamers. Itโs a great tablet for the money.
Pros
- The micro SD slot means that even if you canโt pony up to pay for more internal storage, you can bump it up significantly. Itโs not as convenient, but it works
- Itโs cheap; thereโs no other way to say it. If you asked Samsung to strip down a tablet to the bare Galaxy essentials to pinch pennies, youโd end up with exactly this
- The sound is shockingly good considering the priceโit outperforms many other tablets that cost several times more
Cons
- Maybe itโs not a con because you really canโt expect a super AMOLED display on a tablet in this range, but it is noticeableโas is the loss of resolution from the S5e
- Numerous reports of very poor Wi-Fi range; this seems to be an intermittent problem or a problem only on some devices, but in either case, itโs terrible for gaming
- No multi-user support, so if you got this device to be a gaming tablet for your kids and expect to have some control over the user experience, think again
Best ASUS Gaming Tablet: ASUS ZenPad 3S 10 9.7″ (2048×1536)

Asus has been such a big name in gaming PCs and laptops; itโs no wonder they deserve their own category for tablets as well. Asus always seems to have gamers at the forefront of its design decisions, and the ZenPad is no different.
The micro SD slot, the exceptionally tough cover glass, hexacore processor and 2 in 1 audio jack all seem designed specifically with gaming in mind. Keep in touch with your teammates while you game on the surprisingly vivid display. Asus is constantly innovating to make the best gaming tablet on the market.

- Dual Camera (8MP/5MP)
- 2 in 1 audio jack (headphones+mic)
- 4GB RAM
- 64 GB eMMC
- Quick Charge capable
- Android 6.0
- GameGenie UI
Perhaps one of the companies that have catered most to gamerโs needs and budgets, Asus keeps their track record pristine with the ZenPad.
Pros
- If your primary purpose is gaming, Asus is always one of the best options, and this is no exception
- The processor is really impressive in action, even with high expectations
- The graphics deliver a great gaming experience
- Game Genie is just plain awesome; you can play and search in-app for playthroughs or info at the same time.
Cons
- Itโs small; thereโs no getting around that
- If you want to utilize the Quick Charge capability, youโll need to purchase another adapterโfeels a bit cash grabby, because who doesnโt want to use Quick Charge?
- If you arenโt using it primarily for gaming, you might find it a little clunkyโitโs definitely made with gaming primarily in mind
Best Gaming Tablet Under 200: Dragon Touch K10 Tablet
No products found.
Did we say gaming on a tablet for under $200? Try under $100, if you find it on sale. But even without a sale, this is about as low as you can go and still have a decent gaming experience.
The 10-inch HD IPS display might not kill it when it comes to resolution, but it is bright and clear, even in sunlight. We find it a bit more suited to watching shows and flicks (especially considering the awesome micro HDMI interface).
The native Android UI is really nice, though, especially if you like to customize your experience, even at 8.1. Thereโs no way youโre not going to notice that this is a bargain bin tablet, but they did spend the R&D where it matteredโyou just probably wonโt care much for the 2MP camera!
Key Features
If you are just scraping by, but you desperately need a gaming tabletโthe K10 will keep you afloat.
Pros
- The micro HDMI is great, especially considering that one of the few things this tablet seems optimized for is entertainment and streaming
- The processor is pretty fast; you donโt want to overload the memory, but if you keep it simple you can accomplish a lot
- Priceโdid we mention the price?
Cons
- The biggest all-around complaint is build quality; they cut some serious corners on making this tablet sturdyโhandle it with kid gloves
- The battery life isnโt advertisedโฆ and it’s pretty clear why. Expect to keep it on the charger frequently.
- Donโt expect this to last long or be easily upgradedโitโs purely a stopgap if you need some way to get your gaming fix on the cheap
Best Upgrade Value in a Bundle: 2019 Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1-inch Touchscreen (1920×1200) Wi-Fi Tablet
- Built with a 10.1" Display with 1920 x 1200 Resolution featuring minimal bezel ideal for gaming and streaming HD content, Dolby Atmos surround sound for an immersive entertainment experience
- 3GB RAM, 128GB internal Storage, MicroSD card slot to allow you easily expand your tablet's memory, Tigology Case Included
- Samsung Exynos 7904A Eight-Core Processor with The right combination of fast performance and power efficiency, It allows rapid multitasking, delivers smooth response and unleashes stunning graphics
- 5.0MP front camera and 8.0MP autofocus rear camera
- Android 9 Pie operating system, Productivity and entertainment at your fingertips, Download apps, games, movies, music, and e-books from Google Play, 6150 mAh Lithium-ion Battery Up to 13 hours
Weโve already sung the praises of the Tab A 10.1 as a budget choiceโbut if you can spend just a smidge more, you can have a much better machine+a slick Tigology case.
The 128 GB internal memory is pretty sweet, and when you consider the fact that it rocks a micro SD slot, youโve got pretty much all the storage capacity you need. The 8-core processor is fantastic, and of course, even without the Super AMOLED, Samsung knows how to make a good display.
Key Features
- 10.1 inch
- Micro SD slot
- 10 hours of battery life
- Android 9.0 Pie OS
- Bluetooth
- WiFi
- USB
- 1.03 lbs
- Bundled with an authentic Tigology case
- 128 GB internal storage
Tigology cases are just about the best cases out thereโyou canโt do better for a Samsung, and itโs worth every penny.
Pros
- Exceptional sound quality
- Lower res screen, and itโs not AMOLED, but Samsung is good at getting every bit of performance they can out of a display
- A great price for ample storage
Cons
- It might be worth it to save up a bit more and go with the Super AMOLED if the lower screen res is going to bother you
- Wi-Fi antenna seems to struggle with range
- No multi-user support; doesnโt matter if you donโt plan it as a family tablet but expect arguments if you do
Best Flagship Apple Tablet: Apple iPad Pro (11-inch, Wi-Fi + Cellular, 64GB) Space Gray (Latest Model)
- 11-Inch edge-to-edge Liquid Retina display with Promotion, true Tone, and wide Color
- A12X Bionic chip with Neural Engine
- Face ID for secure authentication and Apple Pay
- 12MP back camera, 7MP True Depth front camera
- Four speaker audio with wider stereo sound
โFlagshipโ doesnโt even quite cover it; if you are an iOS fan and you want a tablet with all the bells and whistles, the iPad Pro is the unequivocal choice. The Liquid Retina display is the best Apple has to offer, and the A12X Bionic chip is the best processor they have, too. The four-speaker audio competes with every other tablet out there. All in all if youโre a mac fan that isnโt too concerence with budget, then an iPad pro might be the best choice for you.
Key Features
- 11-inch Liquid Retina display
- Up to 1TB internal storage
- Sim card slotA12x Bionic chip
- FaceID
- ApplePay
- 12MP back camera
- 7MP front camera with true depth
- Four speaker audio
- Exceptional Wi-Fi; LTE cellular data
Everything you could ask for in an iPad and more! More than you really need for gaming, but itโs hard to turn down that big, beautiful display. The iPad pro truly stands out among Apple tablets as the best choice for gaming.
Pros
- The A12x chip is just plain incredible; runs lightning-fast
- Likewise, you couldnโt ask for better audio from an iPadโฆ well, you could, but that would be greedy
- A great all-around device for work, school, creative pursuits, and yes, gaming
Cons
- If you want a flagship machine, youโre going to pay flagship pricesโand this time with an Apple mark up
- If you donโt love the lightning connection, youโre out of luckโthatโs all Apple gives you, so get ready to buy splitters and all sorts of adaptersโbecause they arenโt included
- If youโre getting this tablet, you probably want an Apple Pencilโwhich also doesnโt come with it, and is expensive in its own right
Best Windows Tablet: Microsoft Surface Pro 6 (Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, 128GB)
- A best in class laptop with the versatility of a studio and tablet
- More power now with the new 8th Generation Intel Core processor
- Ultra slim and light, starting at just 1.7 pounds. Sensors : Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope
- All day battery life, with upto 13.5 hours of video playback
- Pair with our signature type cover in luxurious Alcantara material and rich colors for a full keyboard experience
Weโve discussed Appleโs flagship, now letโs look at Microsoftโs. The Microsoft Surface Pro 6 kills the competition in terms of battery life and just about every other spec you can think of, yet still weighs in under 2 lbs. With the optional Type Cover, it also knocks a lot of laptops out of the running.
And of course, being a Windows machine, the Microsoft Surface Pro is going to be great for gaming. Especially if you tend toward PC gaming, it can run just about every title out there. And it also has plenty of fun accessories available, like the Surface Pen and the Surface Arc Mouse. Itโs almost unfair to put it on a tablet list.
Key Features
- Huge 12.3-inch Pixel Sense display
- 8 GB ram
- 13.5 hours of video playback
- Ambient light sensor
- Accelerometer
- Gyroscope
- 8th Gen Intel Core processor (i5 or i7 available)
- Up to 1TB internal storage
- Windows 10 Home
This high-end Microsoft offering truly blurs the lines between full-featured laptop and convenient tablet.
Pros
- This is essentially a laptop that has a tablet modeโthis is one of the first โ2-in-1โ machines that really seems to blur the line
- Incredible storage options and up to 16 GB RAM
- Latest and most powerful Intel Core processor
Cons
- The big โconโ here is the price; itโs not quite up there with Appleโs highest prices, but itโs more than you really need to pay just to game on a tablet.
- The large display size can be a plus or a minus; at 12.3 inches, itโs getting a little unwieldy to carry around
- As with the Surface Go, it seems disingenuous for MS not to bake the Type Cover price in and just offer them as a bundle, because why would you get a Surface without one?
Best Cheap Tablet for PUBG: Samsung Electronics SM-T830NZKLXAR Galaxy Tab S4 with S Pen, 10.5″

What Should I Look for in a Tablet for Gaming?
Mobile gaming used to be a purely second-tier experience, but itโs easily as big as console and PC gaming nowโif not bigger. Lots of gamers are switching to tablets, but what should you look for when finding a tablet with a great gaming experience?
Here are four big things you want to check out before you buy a tablet for gaming:
1. Which OS do you need?
Every gamer has games they must haveโand usually, those games donโt run on all platforms. So, if youโre going to game on a tablet, you need to make sure that your must-haves are compatible with its operating systemโiOS, Windows, or Android.
2. Is the processor fast enough?
As with most things, it really depends on what games you want to playโbut make sure the tablet has a processor that can handle what you enjoy. Youโll find different manufacturers of tablets use different terminology for processors, so you might have to do some research here. The nice thing is that many tablets are now keeping up with their laptop cousins in terms of processor performance.
3. Are you happy with the display?
For the most part, any current tablet is going to be able to display your games as long as the processor can keep up, but how top of the line or native to the game is the experience going to be? How much do you care about saturation and resolution?Or how big the screen is?
These are all great questions to ask of yourself during the buying process. Be aware of the graphical and display needs of the games that you like to play most so that you can buy a tablet that provides the best individual gaming experience for you.
4. Howโs the battery life?
The whole point of a tablet is to be unplugged, and games are BIG on battery drainage, so this should be a main consideration. You want to make sure youโll have enough battery life available to play on the go.
Should I Get a Laptop or a Tablet for Gaming?
Itโs going to depend on the games you want to play, basically. But a high-end tablet is going to outperform a cheap laptop in most casesโbut a gaming laptop will outperform both. Take into consideration the seriousness with which you intend to game and what kinds of titles you like to play.
Do you NEED a gaming laptop, though? If youโre not playing memory/graphics-heavy games that punish you for lag, you probably donโt. Tablets of today are nothing like their predecessors and feature a full suite of features that suit gaming perfectly.
