Daisuke “Pixel” Amaya announces and unveils Gero Blaster

VG24/7 has reported that a new title from the developer of Cave Story will be hitting iOS devices and the Nintendo 3DS.

Daisuke “Pixel” Amaya demoed Gero Blaster at BitSummit over the weekend, highlighting the game’s premise and style of play. Apparently, players will take on the role of a frog called Kaeru, as he tries to rescue his kidnapped girlfriend. VG24/7 has also stated that it’s a side-scrolling shooter, meaning you’ll play as not just any frog, but a gun-wielding frog.

No official release date has been announced for this quirky title, but we’ll keep you posted on the latest news that comes our way.
