Diablo III‘s Starter Edition was supposed to launch 30 days after the game’s May 15th release. Sadly, that time has come and gone.
Checking up on Blizzard’s support site, a tiny update has been made; it turns out that the Starter Edition won’t be available “until further notice.” We can only imagine that the delay has something to do with Blizzard not wanting to overload their servers again.
Guest Passes — included with new copies — are still active though, so it may be time to call that friend who owns the game.
In the meantime, feel free to check out other games just like Diablo to pass the time.
