Dyschronia: Chronos Alternate unveils a new mystery
I’ve always been partial to a good murder mystery. When a whodunnit is written well you can do all the guessing you like but you won’t know exactly who the culprit is until they’re willing to tell you. This being said I was very interested to see that Dyschronia: Chronos Alternate, a brand new VR entry into the investigative world has just appeared on our headsets. Well, the first chapter to be more specific. I obviously had to learn more and then pass all the juicy details on to you lot. Don’t say I never do anything for you!
The highly intelligent folk over a MyDearest have just released their new science fiction VR title, Dyschronia: Chronos Alternate onto the Meta Quest store. At the same time, they’ve given us a lovely animated launch trailer to drool over. That’s that thing a bit further up the page if you haven’t already clicked on it. It’ll be your first introduction to Hal, the game’s protagonist so worth hitting play if you haven’t done so already.
Dyschronia: Chronos Alternate takes place in the city of Astrum Close, where the crime rate is only 0.001%. A collective mentoring system ensures that residents of the city remain calm and safe, eradicating any desire to commit violent or illegal acts. Hal Scion is a young investigator who has a special ability called “Memory Dive,” which enables Hal to see into and alter the past. This is obviously extremely useful in his detective work and will be all the more important as he is tasked with solving the theoretically impossible murder of Astrum Close’s founder.
If you’re looking for a new mystery to get your teeth into it’s well worth checking out Dyschronia: Chronos Alternate over on the Meta Quest Store now. MyDearest are looking forward to seeing what you all make of the first, and of course, future episodes of this interesting-looking whodunnit. If you happen to need a little bit more persuasion, this title has already got quite a few awards under its belt, including the 2nd Japan Entrepreneur Award Entertainment division and Campfire Award Entertainment division to name but a couple. You can also hit them up on Discord and see what the community is saying if you’re feeling chatty.
