ESRB outs details on Burnout Crash

We might still be missing an actual announcement from Criterion/EA, but rating boards are all over the upcoming ram-all-you-can Burnout Crash, spilling details.  While the Australian Ratings Board was the first to make the listing, suggesting “mild violence,” the ESRB has the juicier… specifics.

According to the description, the more than familiar Burnout concept which, as always, will have players piling up cars wherever they see fit, will once again be present in Crash, with a few deviations, mind you: “Top-down perspective” and “initiate crashes by driving ‘cartoony’ vehicles (e.g., cars, trucks, vans, buses).”

You’ll also “crash into police cars” and last but not least, expect “oversized airplanes, tornados, lobster monsters, and UFOs.”

That, arguably, confirms our suspicions that this next Burnout may very well be a downloadable title to be released on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network considering the ESRB also delineates the platforms on which the game will be released on to be PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Whatever the facts and/or speculation may or may not be, it’s been too long since we last got a new Burnout; we’ll take anything!
