FIFA 14 nearly doubles number of licensed Brazilian Clubs

FIFA 14 fans received some pretty good news today as EA Sports announced that they have reached a licensing agreement with nineteen clubs from the top rankings of Brazil in an effort to expand the scope of a franchise that already represents Football on a large scale. Next years iteration of FIFA, with the inclusion of the nineteen licensed clubs from Brazil, looks like it is poised to have one of the largest rosters with over thirty leagues and six hundred plus clubs available to play with.

The availability of the newly licensed players for the popular Ultimate Team game mode should be a boon to the real life Brazilian clubs as people will be able to try out lesser known and sometimes unknown players on their team, hopefully creating new fans for the clubs and players along the way. The addition of these teams should please longtime fans of the series, especially the fans that have an appreciation for the authentic Football experience that EA has tried to offer in the past.

FIFA 14 will be available in North America on September 24th and worldwide on September 27th for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC, Wii (not the Wii U), 3DS, Playstation Vita, PSP and my personal favorite, the Playstation 2 (yes, the Playstation 2 is getting a version yet the Wii U is not).
