Ex-employees from giants LucasArts (Star Wars: The Force Unleashed series) and EA Tiburon (Madden NFL franchise) have come together to build up a new developing studio called November Software. The studio aims to raise the bar of social gaming, fusing next-gen graphics with compelling gameplay and a leap in social interactivity through a free-to-play business model in the form of Inemeri: A Familiar World, the studio’s first announced game.
“We want to take what we know and love about next-gen games: the deep immersion, high-fidelity atmosphere, multi-layered skill based mechanics, and bring them into the casual social gaming world,” said co-founder Szymon Swistun, one of the four members of November. “Additionally, we are building a heavy ‘streaming’ centric engine and are targeting to stay under five megs to get anywhere in the world at any time. This will allow players to jump into the game anywhere in seconds without downloading large files,” he added.
Inemeri: A Familiar World will be released later this summer on familiar platforms, those being the web, iPhone and iPad, with a closed beta being released just before it, to which there are a limited number of slots still available.
