Japan’s “game industry is finished,” Mega Man father says

Capcom’s producer Keiji Inafune has lost faith in Japan’s videogame industry, he declared at a Dead Rising 2 hands-on event at TGS.

After asking what the crowd thought of this year’s show and giving the “boo”‘s a supportive thumbs down, he said, while sporting an exact replica of the leather jacket worn by Chuck Greene in Dead Rising 2 by the way, “Personally, when I looked around [at] all the different games at the TGS event floor, I said ‘Man, Japan is over. We’re done. Our game industry is finished.'”

Of course that doesn’t apply to Capcom’s own games. Theirs are still top notch, “kick ass” even.
