Sony and LG are currently locked in a legal battle about patent infringements. It’s mostly a load of boring dribble about what you can and can’t do with mobile phones (which doesn’t make for a great read) but LG has turned up the heat with a twist that target the PS3. Oh noes!
The electronics giant claims (through offical documents) that Sony’s system, along with other Blu-ray players produced by the company, infringes on four patents to do with “the reproduction of data recorded on Blu-ray Disc media.”
Basically they’re asking for the PS3 to stop being sold. It seems far-fetched but can you imagine if it worked?
