March NPDs: Wii, God of War III lead
The NPD numbers for the month of March are in, and they come bearing predictability.
Sony’s big exclusive for the month, God of War III, climbed its way to the top of Mount Olympus the software chart while the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Final Fantasy XIII and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 pulled a bit of a switcheroo; the Square Enix RPG on the PS3 outsold its 360 counterpart by roughly 2-to-1, while EA’s Modern Warfare challenger went and managed the opposite.
As for the hardware figures, they present a fairly familiar image.
