The MMORPG based on the Marvel Universe has finally been given a release date. It has been in Beta for months now and is gearing up for release. Gamers can dive into this free-to-play game on June 4th with early access being given to premium members.
The game has a lot of promise as the game director is David Brevik who is most popular for his work on Diablo I and II. The game plays very similarly but instead of being Necromancers or Barbarians, you’ll be able to choose popular characters from the Marvel Universe like Spider-Man or Iron Man along with lesser known character’s like Rocket Raccoon. Another promising aspect is that the story is scripted by famous comic book writer Brian Michael Bendis (Ultimate Spider-Man, New Avengers).
If anyone is too excited to wait until June 4th (like I am), early access will be granted to gamers who are part of their Founders program:
Starter Pack purchasers will receive 2 days of Early Access beginning on June 2nd.
Premium Pack purchasers will receive 4 days of Early Access beginning on May 31st.
Ultimate Pack purchasers will receive 7 days of Early Access beginning on May 28th.
