Max Payne 3 delayed

The release of Max Payne 3 has slipped by a few months, Rockstar has just sent word.

Previously on for March, the game is now targeting May; the 15th in North America and 18th internationally on consoles, and on PC on the 29th in NA June 1st internationally.

“We do not take changes to our release schedule lightly, and this short delay will ensure that Max Payne 3 delivers the highest quality, groundbreaking entertainment experience that is expected from our Company,” said Strauss Zelnick, Chairman and CEO of Take-Two of the decision.

“Max Payne 3 promises to be one of our most exciting releases to date, and we are confident that consumers will once again be amazed by Rockstar’s ability to take interactive entertainment to another level.”

May falls into the company’s fiscal first quarter 2013. Take-Two now expects to report a net loss for fiscal 2012.
