Modern Warfare 2 sees no threat in BFBC2, MOH, new COD

Infinity Ward community man Robert Bowling is confident that Modern Warfare 2 will continue to be the most played online console game throughout 2010; not EA/DICE’s Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Medal of Honor or Activision’s own new Call of Duty will take away its crown, he says.

“I certainly don’t see any signs of it,” he told CVG. “We’ve been number one since launch and this map pack is going to bring even more people to playing MW2 and extend their play time. I don’t see it slipping any time soon.”

Both Modern Warfare 2 and Bad Company 2 are getting their respective DLC releases today.

When specifically asked of the three aforementioned titles were a threat, Bowling said, “No. We’ll just focus on providing for our audience who love our brand of game. Whatever comes out of that is just a bonus to that. But I think they’ll always find what we have going on entertaining if they like it.”
