Modern Warfare’s Ghost game rumored again

Modern Warfare 2 closed out 2009 with rumors of a new game starring the mysterious Ghost. Since then both Infinity Ward and Modern Warfare have sat 2010 out, and we’re not any wiser about where Call of Duty will go next.

Perhaps that Ghost game is on the menu after all; an industry insider is claiming Infinity Ward’s next title to be a prequel set before the original Modern Warfare leading right up into events in the sequel. Ghost is set to star as the player is taken through both new levels and ones we’ve seen before, but from a new perspective.

The rumor’s got some legs too; this is the same source that leaked both Gears of War 3 and Black Ops before they were revealed. It shouldn’t be long before an official reveal for this year’s Call of Duty.
