Namco “pushing” on more Enslaved
Enslaved: Odyssey to the West released late last year to good reviews and (very) poor sales. While it’s picked up a little since, the overall performance of the Ninja Theory game has cast doubt over the future of the franchise.
However, publisher Namco Bandai want to “keep pushing” the series though, as marketing manager Lee Kirton told Eurogamer. Speaking on the site’s podcast, he said: “We’re very much behind it,” further adding: “we’ve got plans as to where we want to take Enslaved, we want to keep on pushing… maybe to a market that hasn’t experienced it yet.”
This suggests a play at perhaps a more casual crowd. Maybe an iPhone spin-off? Whatever it could be, hope for a true sequel at the moment is slim: “We currently have no plans for an Enslaved sequel. However, we are still looking at it,” Kirton added.
