National study confirms Rocksmith is fastest way to learn guitar

Are you the next Jimmy Page or Stevie Ray Vaughn? According to a recent national study by the Research Strategy Group, Rocksmith is the fastest way to learn the guitar and master expert skills. The study, which polled hundreds of Rocksmith players across New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Dallas, supports earlier findings from a similar study, by the Toluna group, that 95% of Rocksmith players greatly improved their guitar-playing skills.

“We’re thrilled,” replied Tony Key, US vice-president of sales and marketing at Ubisoft. “These studies confirm our views that Rocksmith is a huge success at teaching players real guitar skills that are highly effective, enjoyable, and will last them a lifetime.”

It was also revealed that, since its release in October 2011, the Rocksmith series has sold 1.4 million copies of the game, over 3 million downloadable tracks from the Rocksmith library of 143 DLC tracks, and players have collectively strummed and estimated 112 billion notes!

This is not the end of the Rocksmith story though, as Ubisoft has announced it is putting downloadable content on hold for E3, as they have big news to reveal at the big event. Stay tuned for more Rocksmith news as the E3 news train rolls in next week.
