New Crysis 3 details escape ahead of next week’s reveal

Some additional details from the yet to be formalized Crysis 3 have slipped out.

The shooter will throw player back into NYC, though the city is in a severely destroyed state and seemingly very jungle-like, allowing for more open-ended gameplay. A mix between the first and second game, perhaps?

A very fancy and techy looking crossbow seems to be the big hook as far as new weaponry is concerned, with spring 2013 thought to be the launch window for now.

Lets put all of this in the rumor pile, though confirmation won’t be far behind as EA’s said to expect the official announcement on the 16th. That’s next Monday.
