I don’t know about you, but I have been waiting for Dying Light 2 since I finished the first Dying Light game which launched way back in Jan of 2015. By the time the second installment of Techland’s parkour inspired zombie apocalypse game hit store shelves, it will be more than five years since we were all exposed to a new take on the zombie genre.
This years E3 gave us a bit of a taste of what we can expect from the upcoming game, but for some reason it just did not feel like enough to satiate my hunger. Well, to my surprise and excitement Techland has announced that new gameplay footage will be made available on Monday August 26th.
This previously unseen Dying Light 2 extended gameplay footage is the largest piece of gameplay released to date. This nearly half-hour long play-through is a deep dive into the choices and consequences, showing how the player’s actions affect and change the locations, and — in the end — the world.
This Dying Light 2 demo was originally presented behind closed doors at E3 2019, and will be showcased at this year’s Gamescom. To see this new gameplay footage, you will need to be tuned to Techland’s social media channels on Twitch, Facebook and Steam August 26 at 11am PDT/8pm CEST.
You have less than two weeks to wait to see this new gameplay so take a look at the E3 2019 footage to hold you over until the 26th. Are you excited to play the next game? Let us know in the comments below.
