Nintendo tries to erase itself, tweaks logo color

For better for worse, Nintendo has now officially changed their logo color from the rufous red of the past to the gunmetal grey of the future. The company sent out a press release to various media outlets requesting that they now use the more “discrete” grey color used on recent Nintendo products.

The motive? It’s really anyone guess, but I’d wager that Nintendo is trying make make a more concerted effort to push the Wii and DS brands over its own brandname, hence their use of the word “discrete.”
