Obsidian making original XBLA title

“Obsidian! Gimme two!” said many a developer. Obsidian Entertainment is most widely known for their sequels to popular series (Fallout: New Vegas, Knights of the Old Republic II, Neverwinter Nights 2) with a strong emphasis on story. Good news, then, that they are set to work on an original title for Xbox Live that is “not Dungeon Siege,” as Obsidian CEO Feargus Urquhart told Game Revolution, referring to Obsidian’s upcoming sequel Dungeon Siege III. He says that “it’ll be an action RPG that’s focused on fun” and is “quite a bit different in a different genre with a different camera”. As to when it comes out, we’ll have to be patient. It won’t come until “hopefully” first quarter of next year, according to Urquhart.
