Pirates of the Burning Sea goes free-to-play

Pirates of the Burning Sea, Flying Lab Software 18th century pirate-themed MMO, has gone free-to-play just short of three years on the market.

The game will henceforth be making returns through the in-game Treasure Isle store where premium content is up for grabs for those who desire it. Among the items available are NPC allies, pets, clothing etc.

In addition, a membership to Captain’s Club can be had for $14.99. The monthly fee gives players “more character slots, a 20% discount from the Treasure Aisle, automatic access to premium content, 10% bonus to experience and loot, automatic ship insurance, plus a variety of other exciting account perks.”
