Platinum Games’ perplexing countdown

Here at TVGB we just love reporting on random mysterious online countdowns almost as much as developers love using them. Platinum Games, creators of Bayonetta, are the latest culprits. Their whizzy timer on their official Japanese site, which is due to reach zero in almost exactly six days at the time of writing, features a host of circles and stars zipping about the place in a hypnotic fashion, but absolutely no information on what it is we’re actually counting down to. However, with the likes of Shinji Mikami (responsible for crazy capers such as Killer 7 and Viewtiful Joe) and Hideki Kamiya (Okami) heading the company, who knows what mental shenanigans Platinum has in store for us.
